Words...

“We all have the same words for our use - it’s how we choose to arrange them that makes their ability to heal or maim…”

Words woven into poems and novels can entertain, educate, trigger memories or plant the seeds of dreams. Our stages in life can greatly influence our choices in what to reach for, what we hunger for our minds to take in. From encyclopedias to the epic novels of old, from short stories to simple blogs like the one you are reading now, they all hold their place in our life’s journey.
I would encourage you to use your words kindly, creatively  —filled with truth and honor. Try your hand at crafting a poem, a paragraph, a lyric or even a letter to yourself and see how it feels to express outwardly what is held within you.

Alone they can be cold, lifeless, or they can hold warmth and love —yet words strung together can take one to places deep within one’s soul or take the imagination soaring to heights beyond this earthly plane. They can heal, they can maim. They can inspire or they can destroy. Their power lies within the one who utters them —yet their ultimate strength lies within the one who takes them in and holds them close. Reception and perception.
